The launch of the Circular Tayside Charter has created the opportunity for Dundee and Angus based businesses to achieve their environmental credentials, publishing this on their list of achievements will preform well in a community that is focused on reducing carbon footprints and waste producing.
The successful applicant from Little Green Larder, Jillian Elizabeth had help deliver a sustainable locally sourced hamper of goods from her store which was used as a prize collection for the Suppliers Real Living Wage & Circular Tayside Charter. We were able to use the opportunity to hand her the much deserved Silver award certificate and she was surprised at how easy and accessible the green credentials were to obtain. The hard work and dedication to becoming environmentally themed can reap its benefits and the Charter programme is a tool that Circular Tayside provide to the public.

“I heard about the Circular Tayside Charter through an e-newsletter from Circular Tayside. It sounded like the perfect way to showcase all of the circular practices that I have adopted since I opened the shop in 2019.”
The charter is a way that businesses can set goals and work towards becoming more circular, however this has been a priority for The Little Green Larder from day one. Luckily we didn’t have to make any changes within the business to receive the silver award as sustainability is already our top priority.
I decided to take part in the Circular Tayside Charter as a way to professionally benchmark our sustainable practices and circular economy processes here at The Little Green Larder. It is also a fantastic way to showcase to our customers that we put our planet first and that we care about our environment. I really hope that our practices and our charter award encourages other businesses to take part and work towards a more circular economy.
