Angus Up-cycling Project is a charity located in Forfar Angus.
We are a small hardworking project which up-cycles small pieces of furniture that members of the public no longer require. We encourage members of the community to donate their items to us, in order that we can re-use, upcycle them where possible. Below are some examples of our work:
The volunteers within the project use their creative skills to up-cycle the furniture which is very satisfying and rewarding to see the item go back into the community for re-use rather than to the recycling centre for incineration.
Thus contributing to the circular economy.
The project has different strands to its work:
• Providing members of the public with an opportunity to have their furniture up-cycled and re-used.
• Providing hands on experience for disengaged young people.
• The unemployed to gain work experience.
• Provide cooking lessons for those who wish to learn how to cook with limited ingredients on a limited budget.
