Hello, my name is Yolanda and I am Executive Director at Shaper/Caper, a Dundee-based charity that uses dance and creativity for civic engagement and health & wellbeing benefits of its participants.
I have just become aware of this programme after speaking to Kevin Frediani of the University of Dundee Botanic Gardens, a Circular Tayside Ambassador, as we are looking to consider collaborative working practices in 2022.
Personally, I have lived the principles of circular economy since my student days, even before the concept was coined, currently using a big allotment in the farm I live in for the generation of most of my (and some of my neighbours) vegetables and fruits throughout the year.
As a touring company of dance-theatre productions, I believe that there is much more we can do to apply these principles from a professional perspective and so I am most interested in becoming one of your ambassadors to learn and disseminate the principles of Circular Economies within the cultural and dance sectors in Scotland. Many thanks for your time and consideration.
